Animator — Believer Entertainment, Remote

Mar. 2024 - May 2025

  • Prototyped the studio’s core animation style by pre-vising and iterating with design and engineering. Created prototype VFX action lines, decals, and multiples to communicate the studio style

  • Worked closely with engineering to develop the game’s locomotion system. Explored motion matching with light and dense databases. Provided animation support to develop motion warping and other targeting systems

  • Documented best practices and tooling tutorials. Created reference libraries

  • Gave articulate, player-focused feedback in meetings and brainstorms. Actively sought feedback to ensure visual and gameplay clarity, character fantasies, and championing player experience

  • Set achievable goals and backlogs in sprint planning. Aligned animation and cross- department work for clear sprint outcomes

  • Evaluated techniques and solutions in relevant games with the animation department. Initiated a cross-department game session to engage coworkers in gameplay systems

  • Created camera shake Blueprints to call as gameplay tags

  • Collaborated with design on animation montage structure and often created montages independently. Aligned with design on references from other games, drew storyboards, and pre-vised to convey ideas that are challenging to imagine

  • Worked closely with tech animation to develop internal exporting tools and Unreal character implementation workflow

  • Working in conjunction with art, design, and narrative to develop heroes with strong player fantasies

 

Animator — Buck, Los Angeles, CA

Oct. 2020 - Nov. 2020; July 2022 - Mar. 2024

  • Love, Death + Robots | Close Encounters with the Mini Kind – Pre-vised with custom lighting, VFX cards, and photo-camera projections. Animated in Maya with 2D animation and editing in AfterEffects. Pitched gags and creative solutions. 2D animated proof-of-concepts and provided notes on rigs. Animated and populated crowd cycles

  • Oculus Quest - Whisperer – Animated cycles, emotes, and gameplay interactions for 360 VR

  • Hop On | Lunar Revel 2023 Cinematic – Animated in Maya with editing in AfterEffects, integrated cel animation into 3D scenes, rigged 2D drawings as animatable image planes

  • Airbnb Shorts – Provided clients with many pre-vis variations. Prototyped rigs for building houses, rippling piano keys, unrolling floorboards, card flourishes, and other complex props

  • Facebook Avatars – Animated dances, emotes, loops, and pose libraries

 

Animator — Narwhal Studios, Remote

Feb. 2022 - May 2022

  • Guild of Guardians – Animated cartoony combat with strong isometric poses for a mobile game vertical slice

  • Fulfilled a tight deadline by animating 8 characters and a boss in 2 weeks

  • Pre-vised cinematics and gameplay trailer

 

Animator — Sony Pictures Imageworks, Vancouver, BC, Canada
Mar. 2021 - Oct. 2021

  • Hotel Transylvania 4 – Pitched blocking ideas in 2D animation. Rigorously modeled blendshapes and rigs to create the show’s signature cartoony poses. Pitched shots that replaced original storyboards

  • Spiderman: No Way Home – Animated hyper-realism using keyframe, motion capture, and photo-plates. Studied previous Spiderman franchises to recreate actors’ distinct motions. Addressed client notes on a tight deadline. Acted in motion capture

Sept. 2020

  • VR vertical slice – Pitched character ideas in early development. Animated gameplay and cutscenes

  • Ensured successful Unreal implementation by proactively troubleshooting
